bringing electricity and sustainable development – all through solar energy,
and with your help.
WWF-India has been working with governments, businesses and people like
you to set up smart solar solutions in villages around forests - to empower
people and protect wildlife. With streets and homes lit up with solar lights,
animals from forests nearby are less likely to enter the village, preventing
possibly dangerous encounters with wildlife.
In villages where these projects have been implemented, solar electricity has
brought life and connectivity to village households with solar lights and
batteries especially helping children study and empowering women.
